Howard H. Geyer

Howard Geyer can capture the dept and character of a historic farmhouse, the innocence and charm of a field of daisies, or the tranquility of the deep blue sea. An artist since the age of nine, he creates artistic renderings that have a wide range of appeal. Each individual painting is different; each is unique. His style reflects an essence of realism conveyed through depth, color, lighting and mood that flow through his paintings.

The son of two artists, he is self-taught, and while he specializes in nature scenes, he has the innate creative ability to lend intimacy to a city street in Amsterdam or the depictive intricacies of underwater worlds. His funk art murals blend the abstract world with the surreal to form a symphony of jazz images.

Howard's work has been exhibited at galleries, art festivals and juried shows throughout the area in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While he works mostly in acrylic, he is experienced with the wide range of mediums from oils and watercolors to stained glass and murals. Howard continually strives to challenge himself by experimenting and exploring with different mediums that add realism and depth to his work. His most prized pieces are a unique blend of wet acrylics and water that create the illusion of oil or watercolor.
